Microsoft has recently made an important announcement regarding changes in how customers purchase and manage their licenses through the Cloud Solution Provider (CSP) Program. In January 2022, Microsoft will be introducing the New Commerce Experience (NCE), which will have an impact on how you buy Microsoft 365 licenses. However, there’s no need to worry, as the NCE aims to simplify processes and offer cost savings for long-term commitments. Additionally, Microsoft plans to enhance the CSP program with new features, making it a viable alternative to the traditional Enterprise Agreement (EA).

In conjunction with the NCE, Microsoft will be implementing a price increase for certain licenses starting from March 1st, 2022. The affected licenses include:

  • Microsoft Business Basic
  • Microsoft 365 Business Premium
  • Office 365 E1, E3, and E5
  • Microsoft 365 E3

To mitigate the impact of the price increase, Microsoft is offering a 5% discount for annual commitments to Microsoft 365. This discount will be available until the end of March 2022. By committing to your licenses before this date, you not only take advantage of the discount but also avoid the impending price increase.
